    Default Helix mega image problem

I've got one of the first generation Helix mega image. Today while on the water it said I had no transducer installed. It then went into simulation mode. I tried cutting it off and restarting it several times with same results. After stopping to take a lunch break I decided to give it one more try. This time it came up working correctly and worked fine the rest of the day. Anyone else have this issue before? My gut feeling is Humminbird will be seeing this unit in the near future probably.

There may be an intermittent connection in the cable collector ...

Some have disconnected the cable collector and bent the pins ever so slightly ...

Be careful not to bend any pins too much ... they can break off ...

You could have a loose wire possibly in the ducer that made an intermitten problem. Or corrosion on the plug/ ducer connection. Just my thoughts.

My pins look fine and they're free of any corrosion.

Try it on another transducer find someone with same type of unit or transducer and see if maybe your transducer has gone bad.
Be safe and good luck fishing
