Default Solix 15 si vs Helix15 si

I’m having an ulterra trolling motor installed today on my boat. I’m going with one or the other fish finders. What’s the pros and cons of going with one or the other? I’m old school and will have to have someone to set it up and school me on it’s use. Thanks

Helix is a much simpler unit to use. Solix has many more setup options and is a touch screen. Images will be the same. Sounds to me like Helix would be a better fit for you.

My next boat will have Solix's on it. I have 3x Helix 10's on mine now.

For marking waypoints, Solix is much, much faster.

It’s all very confusing at times. Just trying to wade thru the muddy waters of electronics. I was at my local marine shop today when a rep from a competitor of Humminbird who told me the Solix is the unit that will be discontinued with the Apex being the top finder. I think I’ll go with the Solix as it will work better with the ulterra. Thanks y’all

Solix does use alittle more power also than helix.
