    Default split transducer cable


    is it possible to split the transducer cable on a hb 798 to feed both the 798 and a helix 7 si?

    No sir ...

    There use to be a HB switch that could be used for that but it’s been out of production for many years ...

    Ethernet is the only method currently for sharing a transducer ...

    so, if the units were connected with ethernet cable, they could share the signal from one transducer ?

    Only “if” your units are Ethernet capable ... and I don’t think your 798 nor your HELIX 7 is Ethernet capable ...

    xx8 series had to have “HD” in the model name to be Ethernet capable ...
    HELIX 7 had to have “N” in the model name to be Ethernet capable ...
