I use one for my LakeMaster Plus Card and one for an SD card for taking screenshots or uploading data from my Contour Elite Software that I can use and manage on my home PC or laptop.

My Helix 10 has dual slots, my Helix 7 doesn't and I miss the extra slot. On the 10, I keep a card in the first slot for recording interesting screen shots and the other has a Zero Lines card for doing my own lake mapping. I can't put the ZLC in the 7 and still have the option for recording screen shots or interesting fish activity.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

Navionics map card in one slot, and card for data, screen shots, waypoints, updates, etc in the other.
