    Default Crappie on the rocks

    Crappie on the rocks!
Well it's getting to be that time of year when crappie here on my lake move to main lake rock piles. I had a good day and caught about 40 with the biggest being about 1-1/2 pounds. I prefer just plain rocks with no added brush, I think it holds better fish. I also caught a nice size black nose crappie. Some of these fish have really moved deep. I caught some as deep.as 35 feet. The bite and size should only get better as the water cools off more. Here are a couple of screenshots of one of the rocks I fished. One is from my HB and the other from my Garmin Livescope. Go get cha some "crappie on the rocks", I think you'll like it.

Rocks out in the water, usually on a point or steep bank. Some of the rocks are really big, like the size of a car. Gives the fish a great ambush spot and a place to rest or hide.
