    Default A few new screenshots

Here are a few new screenshots that I took yesterday. The pollen and/or algae bloom is really clouding up the water so I had to move my frequencies down from mega to 455 to get some decent images. It does this every year at this time for a few weeks. Good news the crappie are starting to relate to brush. Bad news is last 2 Garmin updates has messed up mine and others Livescope with excess clutter and deadName: S00141.jpg

Pollen really affects the Livescope as well, I have noticed. It operates in the MHz range of frequencies. I haven't had any issues with the update, I have tested 2.30, 2.33, and 2.20, the only difference is 2.30 requires higher gain to get the same picture.

As you can see my gains on the Livescope images are now in the 40's. Previous to the updates I typically Dan closer to 60. Last year the time I did not have the issue with pollen and excess clutter like I do now. Now I'm getting dead zones that wipe out everything in that part of the beam. My bait, fish, and even parts of the brushpile. Not good, not acceptable!

Thanks, I appreciate it. That's what's really strange, the update from Garmin is doing different stuff to different people. Some are not having any issues. I'm sure Garmin will get it figured out but it sure makes fishing harder right now. Livescope done spoiled me!!!!

Roy ... I don't have LS or SI, but do have 2d/DI capabilities (Hook 7) ... and as I look at your split screen images of 2d & DI I am all the more convinced that me not using 2d (and sometimes railing against it) has great merit. As I look at those images, it becomes clear to me that the 2d side of the screen is lacking in its accurate coverage, which is made very clear by the DI images that are showing stuff the 2d images are not ... especially in the second split screen image, where the tree on the left is covered pretty well by the 2d image, but the tree on the right looks to be missing ~50% in the 2d image.

Have you tried resetting it to factory settings after the update? Just a thought.

Yes I haave, it didn't help. Heard back from Garmin last night, they said my images look normal. Didn't even mention the dead, blank zone right through the middle of the brushpile. Unbelievable!!!

Happy you are correct on those images. I'll have to admit that I didn't pay much attention to the 2d images. I know that I could have adjusted it to make it better, I will next time before posting any more images.
    Thanks,
    Roy

Roy, the latest update fixed my mal-performing GLS10. The 18.10 update for my 8610xsv is fine so the combination of the two brought mine back clearer then ever. I also bought the Perspective mount that Summit Fishing has and installed it. Will compare with the one from Garmin when it gets here. Unfortunately, I will not be able to try it until the shelter in place is removed and the ramps and lakes are opened back up.
