Man it would be so nice if these things didn’t have to be wired.

Software updates are possible with the FishSmart app thru Bluetooth to the head unit ...

I'm not sure of all the applications since I'm a turn-it-on-and-go type of guy but it is nice having the ability to stow and depoy my Ulterra I-link on my Helix 12 Mega console unit and run it on my phone of needed. Last spring Rickie and I were fishing Grenada with Tman and his remote was acting up so he used his phone as his back-up and saved our day.

I have a question about WiFi and what it will do. I have a Helix 12 SI Gen 3 and a Minnkota Ulterra bluetooth, can I control my Ulterra with out the cable connected and run the cable to my front Helix 12 Gen 1 to control my Uletrra from both positions with out the need for the Ethernet box?

They don’t have wifi. That’d be nice too though.
