    What is difference between Helix 7 SI gn2 to and the gn3? Also which unit would provide the best picture of down image the DI unit or SI unit?

    *83kHz/200kHz 2d

    HELIX 7 MEGA SI GPS G3N ...:
    *XNT 9 HW MSI 150 T - 455kHz & MEGA SI/DI (blended DI - no DI piezo)
    *Dual Spectrum Low Q CHIRP 2d

    In the HELIX 7 line - a dedicated DI unit will give better DI than DI from a HELIX 7 SI unit (any generation) because no HELIX 7 SI unit has a dedicated DI piezo ...

    HELIX 8 MEGA+ SI GPS G3N is the smallest SI unit with a dedicated DI piezo ...

    Which Helix 7 mega image unit works best on trolling motor the DI or SI? Or is it a trade off. Mainly use t fish bush piles.

    DI shines in vertical fishing presentations ...
    SI shines in finding new fishing structures out away from the boat ...

    Both are tools - with different tasks ...

    Determine which task is most important for your fishing style ...

    OK if I buy a SI unit it comes with DI as well correct? The DI model only has DI and not SI correct?

    Correct ... with a caveat in HELIX 7 SI unit - there is no DI piezo in any HELIX 7 SI unit ...

    So the DI view in the HELIX 7 SI unit is a computer generated DI view from the data received by the SI piezoes ...

    All HB DI units are dedicated DI (and 2d) ...
    All HB SI units 8” and above have dedicated DI and SI (and 2d)... (except some older core SI G1 9” units)
    All HB SI units 7” and below have 2d/ computer generated DI / SI ...

    Best price I found for the Helix 8 mega SI was $1200.00 on ebay.
