Roy, I was meaning into the lights put out to draw bait in. I should have been more clear about what I was wanting to say. Sorry for that. If the boat is still and the transducer was aimed to the side of the boat I believe it would help a fellow out when fishing at night like we do down here in SC . It would cut time down sitting and waiting for fish that may not show up until couple hours later. I would just like to see it done and the effects it has at night time in a lighted area with green submersibles or white star fire lights. Questions in my head is will the light interfere with live scope causing to much bait to be close to the transducer or light distorting the image. I know someone will eventually try it. I hope they post about their experience with it. For that amount of money I'm not ready to bite the bullet just yet. I fish day time and nights for crappie / perch and if it works at night the way I think it should, that will bring me closer to the bullet. Thanks for all you do for us to learn!

    BigDawgg,
Check out this video of some guy night fishing for crappie at night and using Livescope and a green light in the water. I think this will show you what your looking for,

Roy, that's impressive stuff. I am going to have to check it out myself though. Thank you for finding that for me. I might be happy if I owned one of those live scopes. Of course I'd have to use it for everything. Think it will find a coon in a tree? Thanks again!

Not the greatest picture, as the water was turning over and very murky on Oconee, but the slab crappie were on the trees, and I slayed them. I noticed they were very skittish, and would flee if the boat got too close. I tried to approach very stealthily, and cast from about 10' away.

Nice job and great pictures. One of the best things about Livescope for me is seeing the fish's behavior. You really see how skittish they can really be. The water here has been really clear, I've been trying to stay around 25 feet away from the piles I'm fishing. Even then when you catch one you can see the other fish react and bury themselves in the brush before they hopefully come back out of hiding in a few minutes. Other times I've seen the entire school just swim away, good stuff.
