This 2.11 seems to have more good than bad being written about it so it might be time to bite the bullet and try it. I think I'm still back around version 1.4 something on my 1st generation Helix 10 SI. Nothing hooked to it, no network or sensors or anything but still.......
I hear you and I understand. I certainly don't update my units with every new update. I only updated this time because of the ability to use my lowQ transducer along with my SI/DI transducer. The other update enhancements were bonus benefits. If there is nothing you can use in this update then don't.

The majority were fixed in 1.900 and 1.940 ...

I haven't heard of any remnant issue of the shallow water depth issue in 2.110 ...(except 1 rare report in heavy weeds) ...

Updated from 640 to 2110 on my helix and had problems displaying depth. Had to reset defaults on unit before and after installing update to fix the problem. Was worth the effort.

Been running 2.110 on my helix MSI+ G3 since it came out with zero issues.

If you updated to 2.18 there is no reason to go back to 2.11 as it has all the updates including 2.11. All 2.18 did was update the settings for running mega 360 and that is what you would loose going back to 2.11. You can go back to 2.11 if you can find a copy of 2.11 for your 8. Need to be specific as to what 8 it is. SI+ or DI?

I have g3 mega di.....thought I was in other forum sorry, I don't have 360 and I was under impression you should upload all updates. The image does not seem as clear it may just be me. Was wondering if my 8 had enough processing speed for last update and that's why image does not seem as clear.
