    Default File incompatability

I was attempting to load my waypoints from my HDS7 Gen2 touch to my Hook7 using an SD chip.
When I tried to upload to the Hook7 I got this message.
Anyway to convert to a format that will load?Name: 20190701_145944.jpg

Check your manual for the Hook and see what format it uses. Then try downloading from the touch unit using that version

Many thanks Rickie that did the trick. I didn't state earlier what motivated me to do this. I inadvertently left my unit on and discovered it about a month later. At first it wouldn't cut on or do anything. I let it sit a day unplugged and finally got the unit on. Fearing the unit was dead I was kicking myself for not doing a backup.
Now I have another issue. Everything seems to be working, but the power button doesn't work. When I plugged it in it came on without me doing anything. The only way I can get it to turn off is to unplug it.
Any suggestions on this issue? It doesn't acknowledge when I push the power button. It usually brings up a menu but now nothing.

Check all the buttons to see if any are "stuck" under the bezel button openings ...

Can you pop off the cover over the buttons? Never looked that close. Being an old telecommunications guy I wondered if contact cleaner would help. I would have to get to the button itself first.

Some bezels pop off - some are held by screws from the backside ...

I have a hds 12 gen 2 that is doing the same thing with the power button. After doing some reading online it seems to be a somewhat common problem with the gen 2 units. I can still feel the button "click" when I press it but no function from it at all. I did find a place called Clear Cast that people have sent them to get the problem fixed but never any mention of what the actual problem was. Bad button, bad connection at the button? I had thought about taking mine apart also but I don't have much experience with working on electronics. If you don't mind and you decide to take yours apart please let me know how easy it is, I may try to fix mine!

    Default Hey Rickie

Here's another angle of attack. When you press the power button it normally brings up a menu screen with "power off" as one option. You just touch it to shut down. Is there another way to bring up that screen besides the power button?
