Default Getting my Helix SI 10 Mega dialed in

I've been fighting getting my Helix 10 SI Mega unit to play nice with my Helix 12 DI Mega unit with the lowQ transducer. No matter what I've done I ended up with bad crosstalk interference between the 2 units. Both are at my console and both transducers are on the transom. I really like the lowQ images but wanted to see how good I could dial in my SI/DI/2d transducer when I turned the lowQ transducer off. Here are some screenshots that I took. I'm pretty happy with the results. The lowQ transducer will be unplugged for now and the units will share images from one transducer. The last 2 shots are from the lowQ, yes they are a little better but not worth fighting the interference.

Heck, if I had those images to fish with I'd be happy! Can't wait to get the Helix mega 10 on boat but I'll have to stick to the old 998c to show me what's down there! My pontoon has the HDS 7 structure scan and it's pretty good if you are willing to fool around with the settings. But it's done it's job and I hate to mess with it once you get what you think is the best readings. Thanks for sharing your findings.

If I understand what you are doing from what I have heard you don't want to run both at same time. Interference will come I dont know if some do something to stop the interference. I know when I run console and bow transducers same time there is interference and that is with helix 7 first gen and hhummingbird 598. Now I have Helix 9 3 gen si and cant wait to get out and try it.

    Roy,

Were all of these images made using the same chart speed? What chart speed do you like to use?

Oh and I find 2d very helpful early in the spring when I'm cruising back in the creeks looking for suspended crappie. 2d covers a wider area than DI and can be helpful when searching. I also use 2d when running from spot to spot. I've found lots of brush on the ends of points running 20+ mph with a well tuned 2d.

But yeah to get the most detail and see fish I use DI.
