    Default Humminbird helix shooting docks?

Now retirement is coming up I am looking to replace my Gen1 helix 7 inch and put it up front and get a 2GN or 3GN 9 or 10 inch Humminbird. Now My question is anybody out there scanning docks for crappie and how are those units doing? I like to start shooting docks more. Any success?

Here is one of my shots of crappie under a dock using HB Mega SI. It works great and dock shooting is allot of fun.
This shot is from a marina, you can see the crappie really relating to one of the cables holding the dock in place.

Thanks for the post. Those are nice pics. Right now I am leaning on the Helix 9 gen3. What I read so far for SI there is a little bump in si. In 2d and chirp a big bump. Right now Helix 9 gen 2 is $500 dollars cheaper. I like the shadows from the high fish. First amber pic next to shadows those bright spots could be some fish on bottom?

Thanks. Yes I agree with you. Some of the fish we're further back and deeper than the ones up high. You can tell by how you keep seeing shadows extending away from the front group of fish.

Damn I have a solix 15 and I have never seen images like this . I can see shadows sometimes but never nothing like that. I have my transducer mounted on bottom of jack plate I wonder if that is making a difference.

Ok this picture is confusing to me. I see the cable, see the fish, and see the toons on the bottom of the dock but the picture looks sideways to me. Like the picture needs to be turned. I know it's right cause the numbers are right but my brain is not getting it. Someone explain.

It's right side SI only ...

Setting the SI to one side only allows that side of the data to be "zoomed to fill the whole screen" ...
