    Default Minn Kota Terrova Help

I have the MK TErrova 55# thrust 12v TM and I am wanting to add the bow mount transducer on the trolling motor. I watched a video on Utube and this fellow removed the head than the shaft, installed the transducer to the foot and ran the cable up the shaft in the groove and cyliconed it in place. My problem would have been solved except for the lift assist that is spring loaded and runs in the groove. Plan "B" get a coiled plastic air hose, split it down the middle to protect the cable and run the rest under the quick disconnect mount. Has any one found a solution to keep from pinching the transducer cable on the I Pilot trolling motors? Tye rapping the cable to the shaft is a recipe for disaster on a motor drive unit. Been there, did that, brake out another $300 for a new transducer. I don't want to halve to do that again, and I don't have the room up front for a separate mounting shaft. Any suggestions to help solve this problem, thanks in advance.

I split a coiled water hose off Amazon. Used two 1” split ring hangers and 2 5-1/6 eye bolts. It’s not the prettiest thing in the world but it has worked so far.

Two choices get one of these or remove the lift assist. Cable saver for 2018 and newer Terrova.
