Thread: Same unit at bow and console

I am fairly new to fishing with electronics. I recently purchased a Helix 7 for my boat. I have not yet installed. I initially thought I would be satisfied with the unit on just the bow. After researching and doing some thinking I realized I would like the option to use it at the console as well. Is there a way to have the option of moving my unit from bow to console?? I know I will need a set of cables at each location. I have seen the splitter cables but cannot find if that will solve my problem. I would prefer not to purchase an additional transducer. Thank you for any possible assistance.

There is not a xducer splitter cable that allows 1 xducer to be used with 2 head units (or 2 stations in your case) ...

You would need a 2nd xducer or leave the existing xducer cable on the deck where it can reach both stations ...

Some guys use ram mounts to easily move a head unit to different locations (eliminating the need for a 2nd gimbal bracket) ...
