    Default mounting transom transducer

Hey guys, just picked up a lowrance elite ti 9! very excited to get this thing on the water. I am putting it on a flat bottom boat that has float pods. I would like to mount the transducer between the pod and the motor, my motor is on a jack plate with 10" of set back. do you guys think i will get much interference in this location?

Any help, tips or suggestions would be appreciated from me as well. I will be mounting the same unit this weekend on a nitro 901.

Float pods are challenging for a SI xducer without getting blockage ...

You might rig up a temporary mount of some kind and test before drilling holes ...

so i decided to mount the transducer to the jackplate, i hope this spot works because the transducer is protected, and i did not drill ant holes into the boat, just the jackplate.

    what do you guys think?

Well thats a option.hope it works..I have same problem and even worse I got a tunnel to deal with too...I thought about mounting it on shaft that can be raised and lowered as needed maybe on bow if must be...like da-ducer apparatus
Another option I considered is Cut float pods off..But that seems NUTS... when I SW fished they and tunnel and jac plate were a PLUS .Now in deep FW they are more of a pain in rear of boat...

You may see hard echoes lines running parallel to the centerline in the water column SI from reflections off the pods ...

    Test and see ....
