    Default Looking for some Knowledge

I spent some time on the water on Saturday and took some screen shots of some spots i fished. I didn't catch a single fish, so i assume the photos i will be posting were not worth fishing. I believed this spots were showing fish, just can't tell if there crappie with my limited experience. What are your opinions?

Sorry I can't help, but would not be surprised that the last one was bream. They look really small compared to what I usually call crappie on my unit. What finder is that and what mapping system? Hope someone who knows more than me can help.

Lake master, and Helix chirp mega, I’ve seen on a few other forums the crappie look a tad bigger, just trying to learn more about what I’m seeing so I don’t waste a hole day fishing the wrong piles

These are crappie. I think your pictures are also most likely crappie.

One thing I've had to adjust to since I switched from the Lowrance I had to the Bird mega is that shad stick out more to me. Fish I thought were larger ended up just being shad and my bird was just doing that much better of a job distinguishing them. I'm not saying that is what's in your pictures but just my little bit of experience.

For me first off I would have the fish side bigger then the map side if I had the map up al all. I usually use full screen and use the quick buttons to switch back and forth much easier to figure out what is there in full screen. In reality unless you have a camera or catch one hard to tell mostly because I have seen Crappies and sunfish schooled even mixed together like your pictures. When schooled like Mike58`s pic that for sure is Crappies Bluegills usually school flatter and spread side to side. Being in cover will change how they are schooled up.

Bricks, thanks for your comments, I usually have my map side of my screen set larger so I can see my waypoints and guide my boat to it, seems to help me see it. I tend to forget I I can view whole screen DI. All of my quick buttons are set to split screen with SI, DI, and 2d the other side is mapping. I need to remind myself to switch views for more intensive viewing of piles. Thanks for posting

Kinda hard to tell Mike. It would help to know what size your graph is... These are scattered crappie and shad on 12" graph.
