Thread: Lowrance Live?

Thought lowrance was coming out with something to complete with Garmin Livescope.
Well if it is the lowrance live they are not hyping the "see the fish live " part very much.
I just watched a few videos. Dont even show it doing anything like the Garmin Live scope?

What am i missing?

Just my take on what I've seen so far ( I do not have any insider info) but it looks more like a version of the original "Panoptics" YouTube probably will have a few more bells and whistles but it's nothing like the "Live Scope". There is some articles out there about the lawsuit between Lowrance and Garmin it appears that certain parts of the technology was granted to them both using a shared patent which they agreed to so both could get there products to market while at the same time put the kibosh on Humminbird from ever coming out with anything like it. As for Lowrance getting to use something similar to live scope software it's not clear if it will be available next year or if they ever will get to. I do think that Humminbird will take their 360 to the next level that includes something like a Mega-360 which will give much better detail than what they now have.
