I know the answer is to upgrade
Side scan on one side works better than the other no matter how you adjust, right side is darker and less clear. Suggestions?
Tried to photo in the garage today but out of the water it looks the same?
Also not sure I was ever close to the si transducer with it on out of the water but the clicking seems fairly loud.

I would try to find someone who has a bird unit that's is SI and attach yours to their setup and see if it improves or stays the same. Could quick tell you if it's the unit or ducer. It would attack to a helix set up also. Even if the other unit has the compact ducer it would still tell you same ansewer.

Out of the water the xducer is trying to find bottom by varying the transmit power =clicking ...
After applying the tests listed above by the guys - you have options ...
*Upgrade entire Setup ...
*Replace xducer (if xducer tests bad on another head unit) ...

Yes it's level and has always been fine in the past. Issue just started.
