    Default thoughts on Helix 12 over Helix 10 same model


    was wondering your thought on buying a Helix 12 over a Helix 10 of same model is the 2 in more screen worth it

    Bigger is better when trying to decipher what your seeing.
    Whether it’s worth it ,depends on your pocket book.

    12" screen at the console (3ft away from your face) may not be as advantageous as a 12" screen at the bow (upwards of 6ft away from your face) ...

    One might consider where the unit will be mounted to help determine if the 12" is needed over the 10" ...

    Very well said. I agree completely and I did go that route with my setup. I use the Helix 10 at my console and the Helix 12 at my bow and have been VERY happy with it. The 12 is awesome with 360 too!!

    I have a 10 at the console and a 12 at the bow as well. Works great for me.

    Not to complicate things but I believe you can buy the solix 10 for less than the helix 12. Gives you touch screen and ability to configure your own screens. I think the resolution is better also. But I don’t think it shares waypoints or mapping with any helix you may already have. Rickie please correct anything I may have wrong and give your opinion on this as your more knowledgeable than I am regarding this matter

    SOLIX can only share waypoints with HELIX ...
