Thanks for the comments. It’s been fun studying this lake with an si sonar for the past 6 years. Used to be hardly any shad in this lake at all...thus a bunch of stunted bass. Now the bass are really growing with a big shad population. While one could catch some crappie in the lake there just weren’t many. I can only assume the huge increase in shad has also helped the crappie population to expand. This is the first year I would actually make the trip there to target crappie. These are-plenty of them.
