Thread: Helix 7 Down imaging question

I'm sure this question has been asked already, but I can't find it, so here it goes again. Will down-imaging on a new Helix 7 work with the universal transducer that comes on a new Ulterra 112 trolling motor?
Or do I need the transducer that comes with the unit? I've just had these installed on the bow of a new boat I've purchased and the DI is not working. Don't want to get into a major discussion with the boat dealer until I have my facts straight. I will appreciate your input. Thanks

No it will not work for DI on universal transducer built into motor. It is for 2d only. If you haven't opened the package that transducer came in you can call Humminbird and do a swap for the transducer that is made for trolling motor mounting. If you have you can still mount existing transducer to trolling motor and get good results.
