Here is a shot I took. I believe these may be some garfish. They were in the area while crappie fishing. Thoughts?

Don't know how anybody could not appreciate those pics. Guessing you are still in the 2mph range. GT52 does a really good job. I, like you, usually stay on 455 for sv and dv, tho some say 800 is better for sv. Depends on the conditions and wants I think. 2d shots are very good as I would expect. I'm really happy with my 93 chirp. I need to learn how to upload pics. Anyway, awesome pics and thank you for taking the time to share.

    Teedee:

While out the other day I did check the speed display and I have it turned off in the overlay setting. When I am structure hunting I have the throttle just in gear. Its about 2mph. To upload pics, you have to click on the picture icon at the top of the quick reply box. Its to the right of the earth like icons. A box will pop up that says insert image. Then click on "from computer". Sometimes you have to click in the bottom right corner where it says "basic image" or something like that. Then you click on choose file. Pick the file from your computer file that you want and then click open. You will then see your pic in the box with the picture name displayed. Click on upload file. You may have to wait a few seconds or a minute for it to upload. I made this mistake several times by not giving the picture enough time to upload. Your picture will then be inserted into the quick reply box. I hope to get back out soon and get some more shots!!!

Hard to argue with those settings when you see returns like that. Keep in mind that things can change during the day, or lake to lake. Be willing to adjust your unit accordingly for water clarity, cloudy/sunny skies, etc. None of these things have 'set it and forget it' features. But I would always keep returnimg to my tried and true base--such as fishinranger has provided. Use that and tweak it to find what really is the best thing for you and your unit/ducer etc.
