    Im not sure if many will agree with me, but I think the best way to do what you're wanting would be to use 455 for longer range finding of structure and then use the 800 for a closer look. (Fish will show brightet on the 800)

    This is similar to how I use SI while spider riggin...

    I'm inspecting details with the 800kHz while I spider rig from waypoint to waypoint...(and my waypoints are close together)...

    I only use 455kHz when I'm in unfamiliar water looking for new structure all the way to the edges of the screen...

    Then I drop waypoints on those new structure marks...re-position the boat closer...and scan the new structure with the 800kHz so I can see the details of the new structure...

    4th shot down with the amber2 color. Only got 7 that day those 2 where the big ones going 15 1/4" and 16 1/8"
