    Default Hds 7 touch inputs

I was thinking about using my tax money on a new fish finder and the lowrance hds7 touch was my choice. Anyone have a touch yet? Is the touch sensitivity good or is it out of wack at times? I mainly live bait striper fish on boards and troll artficials. Is the sidescan a game changer when trying to find fish while trolling? Thanks for any inputs.

Don't have a touch but played with one at BPS a while back. Changing between screens is a breeze, changing the settings would bea breeze as well I imagine but don't remember if I did that or not. SI will help you cover more water/area when looking for fish or tracking 'em down when they are on the move. Buy the largest screen you can't afford, the detail will show up better.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

I have the HDS 12 touch and I love this thing. The touch is on point all the time, I use a Stylus for mine and it works great and that way it will keep the finger prints off the screen. I like this unit because you can customize the screens to the way you like it. Here is a photo of my 12 touch mounted to my boat on a ram mount.

Man that's nice. I can't afford a 12 so the 7 will have to do. I notice you posted a grey line tank in the classifieds. You striper fish too? Can you post some pictures of your hds 12 catching some stripers on the side scan? Thanks for the info on the touch, I'm locked in on buying the hds7 and the lss2.

I took the bait tank off the for sale section because I am keeping it now. I mainly fish for Stripers, Hybrids and White Bass and now I am starting out on Crappie. I don't have any pictures of the 12 Touch yet because I just got it and only took it out once and love it.

Touch systems are next generation and cannot be beat at this time in my opinion. Once you get used to it, you'll be thankful you spent the $$$.
