    Default Sauger help

Thinking of trying for some sauger and wonderin where the closest place from central Kentucky a person could go and get after them from the bank.I've never been sauger fishing but have caught some crappie fishing at KY Lake.I know they catch them in the Ohio River and have heard they catch a few at Wolf Creek below lake Cumberland.Any help greatly appreciated.

    SD,
We use to fish below Cannelton on the KY. side. Drive around the papermill and walk out on the wing wall. Been a few years so you might want to check it out.

    Default Try Kentucky River

Try fishing below the dams on the Kentucky River. Use 1/4 oz. jighead with chartreuse curlytail with a minnow, but not necessary. Keep bait close to the bottom. Also try silver buddies hoppin em along the bottom too. Right at dark try a shallow running shad colored crankbait or a jerkbait.
