Default Center Console vs Side Console?

Still boat shopping and have looked at some center console boats that appear to have bunches of room. What are the advantages/disadvantages of the center console? Who has gone from side to center and would you do it again?

Thanks for your responses in advance.

believe me, the older you get the better the center console looks. if i ever get another boat, regardless of brand, it will be a cc. good luck..ws

While I'm probably in my last boat, which is a side console, if a new one does come along it will be a center console.

I just purchased a new to me boat, a 2013 Xpress CC with a 150 Yamaha on the back. To me, a CC is easier to move around in and is better for the kind of fishing that I do, which is mainly trolling for crappie, hybrids, and white bass.

On a wide boat, CC all the way. On a narrow boat, side console all they way. Room to get around the console, regardless of size is a good thing.

I recently bought an Excel Bay Pro 203 with a 140 Suzuki 4 stroke from Bill (BRM)at Big River Marine (C.com sponsor). I troll 90+% of the time and I couldn't be happier with the boat.

I love my CC 2003 22ft. Key west Bay reef ... all the room you could ever want and that Bimini top is a life saver when its hot and it can handle with ease any water or weather conditions kentucky lake can dish out

I have owned three different side console boats and am now in a Nautic Star CC bay boat and love it. lots of room and very user friendly.
