    Default whats your favorite artificial lure fished under a float ?


    i pitched stinger shads up to docks last year. want to try a few new things this yr.
    so looking for ideas.
    end of docks are about 6 fow, and there usaully right on the post.
    so i'm not moving much.

    just curious what would best for keep the lure still.

    Under a float I like to fish a Marabou jig. The feathers have a great natural action when sitting still.

    Beautiful looking marabous Brimfisher! If the water is cold, I'd definitely use a marabou under a float. As the water warms, I tend more towards soft plastics like the BGBS's.

    To answer the OP, I don't have the experience some people on here have, but I have caught many huge stringers of crappie over the years, and when I have used a bobber in the spring, I have had great success with soft plastic jigs. But, non-plastic jigs might be just as good.

    Custom color Mo's grubs - killed with it last year on bass and trout. Don't get to the big lake here in Vermont very often

    I use several different items under floats ...I don't have a favorite until the fish tell me what they like best
    feathers plastics and combo items all seem to have a place with me
    sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales

    i'm going to try some Marabou jigs this spring.
