    Wink Taylorsville Nov

Thought I'd start a new one for November, please contribute.

I went Friday the 4th and the water was 59 deg.
They're slowing down now with the cooler water.
The water looked really good and the level was down a
    couple of feet.
We caught a lot of small ones, kept 10 that were 9 1/2" to 10"
Couldn't get a pattern, most were in 15 to 20 ft of water
but caught a couple in close. Some hit really hard and others
just barely. Maybe if the weather stabilizes we'll get some
decent fishing in yet before winter.
I fish mainly in the Chowning Lane ramp area, Any of you
doing any better in other parts of the lake?

Great fish there Arca, that's a really nice crappie. Thanks for the report. I think I'm going to try Tville for a few hours Friday morning. Hopefully this front passing through won't completely kill the bite.
Were you using jigs or minnows? I usually use minnows under slipfloats this time of year, but I always keep a jig rod close by.
Thanks for the reports fellas, I'll post my results sometime Friday if I get a chance.
    Take care,

I'll be there tomorrow. Hopefully, they will be biting. I have not been in a couple of weeks, so who knows. However, it does seem like if you hunt an peck for them at taylorsville, you can usually catch a few. I will post my results after the weekend. Good Luck.

I plan on being there Friday after lunch (as usual) too.
I'm always in the Chowning Lane ramp area.
I've heard that the crappie fishing is better down towards the
    dam, anyone notice any differences?
C'mon, you can tell me. I'll keep it secrete (LOL)
Here's my 44 yr old boat, if you see me , stop and say hi :D

I'll probably be leaving the lake around lunchtime, as usual for me. I fish out of an old Hydrasport with a 140 Suzuki. Used to always put in at Chowning but now use Settlers Trace mostly.
I've been fishing more down towards the dam recently, but used to catch just as many up towards Van Buren. I really can't tell a difference myself. Good luck to ya tomorrow, I'll try to leave you a few...LOL!

    Arca,
Thanks for the info. I think I know the downed tree you're talking about. There's one in that area that almost always holds a few nice keepers. I'll be in an old Hydrasport with a 140 Suzuki with one or two other fellas. Good luck to ya.
