Still don't know what's up in our area of SC. Dick's switched to only clothes and Academy sold off all their fish finders and removed their reel displays before Covid hit last year.

Yeah, Dick's here in SC has only clothes too. Academy is starting to look like they are headed that way also. Low stock on most fishing stuff and no fish finders or display reels at all!

I use Siennas on most all my rods and love them. No problems after a couple of years use.

Cabelas did away with their replacement warranties once BPS bought them. I buy local first, specialized online stores in US next, then Ebay or Amazon next. Online Chinese stuff too! Just cuts out...

I use Shimano Siennas. Lew's makes some nice ultralight reels too.

Most of my fishing is solo, so I am VERY careful! Glad you are OK. One question- is that your casting arm? Hope not.
