The larger heads work fine with a loop knot . While using two baits a 1/8 or 1/16 is used on the bottom with a loop knot . A smaller jig above it would be tight to the eye of the hook . JMO

I have heard some from South Mississippi refer to crappie as white perch . I guess the white perch you speak of does not exist down there .
