Yep. The floats are specially designed to work with the paste they mix up for bait. The Euros have a similar float, but they don't use paste very much.

Chris, I've never seen these on your site. Do you ever stock them? I currently have a 5.4m hera rod.

Interesting. I got the impression that he was using a different type rod (more like keiryu) but, as I said, it seems to be working for him.

Have you listened to the link above? He talks about constantly extending the pole and then breaking it down again to land fish. It seems to me that would prematurely wear down the joints.

I have almost zero experience with a spoon. Maybe I should experiment. I think you have said in other threads that the Japanese believe spoons are more sporting (but still very effective) on trout.

I wouldn't mind adding an Area and a Stream trout rod to my quiver. ;)
