If the tank isn't vented the primer bulb will get sucked flat and the motor quit running.

I agree with Crappiemax's post. I've read in a couple different charger instructions that if all leads are not connected to a battery, the charger will sense a bad battery and show an alarm.

The cheapest way out would be to use an OMC gas line but change the end the hooks to the motor to a Merc. Or you can change the fitting on the tank then you could use a Merc hose.

I think they all use that waste spark now days. So it would be 1 spark each revolution.
