Yes, they can be cut. Havent actually done it myself, but my dad cut his and so did my brother. Tubing cutter and lots of patience. Dont get in a hurry with it.

Do you know if it is a screw-in? Yeah, pull the plate and if its a slip-in, soak it down and drive it out. If a screw-in, probably replace.

I would have to agree. Ive never owned a deisel personally, but have good friends who have all. From what Ive seen them go through, Chevy has it. Ill give the dodges credit for a more fuel economical...
