I went over to El Dorado this afternoon and all the docks had Ice. I talk to a friend who lives close to Cheney and he said there is no ice on the dock. I may go over there tomorrow to scope it out....

I use a 9ft rod. I just vertical jig 5 to 6ft away from the boat. They were hitting in between 17 and 22 FOW.

That’s what it’s all about. Catching fish! Cheney and El Dorado just happen to be my closest lakes. Kansas temps are pretty consistent all over the state. So the info is always helpful to a newbie....

Thanks tcounty! I saw it on YouTube. It is just an inch PVC pipe inside inch and a quarter PVC. Very simple and cost less than $20.
