I can't edit my post. Braid definitely improved after the first trip. Casting distance is great, very few issues with line slap.

I actually had that issue with lines before this one, so I didn't really mind. I'm used to removing weeds from my lure between casts, so straightening my line has become part of my pre-cast routine....
