From what I have seen color does make a difference

I troll with cranks. 4-6 standard medium 7 ft rod. Long line. 10 lb mono high vis with a snap. Various color and depth cranks til figure out the pattern for the day.

I can say that it appears that after putting red hooks on the front of my cranks . Probably 95 % of the fish are hooked with red hook. Before I put them on most of them were hooked on the rear hook....
