Water is way down under I-10 so Whiskey Bay launch can be pretty dicey. No trailers there and about 10-12 trailers a Ramah. Oddly enough, I really didn't see many boats fishing in the canal so...

It does seem, though, that when current slows they're more likely down current/down wind. It's when you can visibly see water moving at a decent clip that they're usually upcurrent.
