I bought a new to me, 2016 Z18, a few months ago. I'm satisfied with it up to this point. No real complaints. In the past I have owned a skeeter and a stratos.

Fish are scattered. Had to work pretty hard today. Caught some 10ft brush pile, 25ft bridge piling & 3ft grass line. However, these were bigger fish probably averaging over 11” with several over 15”....

Yeah.. here in east texas I find lots of crappie on my 20ft of water piles in the thick of summer too..

Thats what i was thinking of doing.. concreting them in plastic buckets and using them as metal trees.. might tear up my fishing line or like cray suggested they might just rust and never grow any...

I just have a pile of them and didnt see any post referencing the material. Its either stick them in a bucket and sink or haul them to the junkyard.

Lake Life- I fished a smaller east texas lake.. cooler temps and cloudy the next few days.. i would imagine that will still keep them deep

If you have a boat, you can try the structure added by texas parks and wildlife. The GPS cordinates are online. I do not believe Canyon is known for the crappie though..

It's disappointing the buckets are not holding fish. Likewise, I put out several bamboo condos last year and caught very few fish in them. Yet, my natural brush piles were loaded almost instantly....

Where do you get the stakes for these?
