Started bout 7:45 and ended at 10:30... Bite was SLOW... they did not want that minno moving... let it sit at the right depth and a light tap then swim off with the minno...
Best depth was 11 ft of...

Come to Navarro Mills for crappie... Darrell and I got a double limit the other day off 2 locations.... Killed em...

Got an early start but the crappie really did not wake up till about 11:30...
But did manage a limit of pretty good fish...
Most came from 24 ft deep... And 3 bonus fish... wind was a problem for...

I put 2 rows along the drop off and another row of 6 behind them...
My 2 cents...
It works great for me...

The crappie did not wake up until about 8:30 a.m. Fished the North side of the lake so the wind was no problem.
Got 40+ crappie with 22 in the cooler. Thumbs Up Two hogs and the rest 10 - 11 in...

This sounds crazy but hanging up on the sticks are no problem... The only hang up is on the lip of the bucket... But let your weight drop a time or two and off the hook comes....
My suggestion is to...

Build it and they will come.... End of story.

Drop offs, drop offs & more drop offs.... Different depths... Go to locations that have NO natural structure anywhere close... No need in competing with Mother Nature...

I do not use sackcreat because it's strength is about 2,500 - 3,000 psi... Dont need that much so I mix 5 gal of sand to 1 large coffee can of cement for stick condos... Works great and it is cheaper...

Stick condos.... very easy to make and drop.......

I think stick condos are better... I put 12 to each location.. They hold plenty of crappie.

I get the sticks from a company that makes wood trim of all kinds. 95% is hardwood, the rest Pine. This is sticks that they throw away, they are 16 ft long and I cut em up in 4 ft lengths & make...

I almost never hang the sticks.... I hang the lip of the bucket... no problem... drop your weight a couple of time and hook is dislodged.... No problem.... The stick condos are very easy to build......

Come to Texas.... boo grows wild on the side of county roads.... FREE..........

You can buy a hand held GPS for $99.00.... best money you can spend....

If you use boo or cedar trees, put a plastic jug in the top and it will keep it upright even if someones hangs it and pulls it over......
