we started on guntersville lake early saturday and caught about 6 or so on minners fishing them about 14' depth. moved to wheeler lake about 10'oclock and caught a lot but only had 15 keepers. lots...

the boat launch at goose pond is public, "pay to play" like 2$.
the one on the north west side of the causeway is public "no pay".

water was down quite a bit. I didn't look at the lake level on tva website but it seemed like it was a couple feet or more lower than normal. If I remember correctly the temp water temp was 43.

I wondered what happens to the fish at a few holes I fish at. They shut off as the sun starts to come up. I thought the baitfish must be moving to a different spot as the sun comes up?

I think nickajack was spilling just as much as gville and it was sorta balancing out back in the lake. we didn't get out on the channel, I bet it was rolling out on the channel.

6 keepers from 4-1145. high water and hardly any current moving back up in the lake. should have pulled the plug on this trip at 6. fished minnies under cork and tight lined as well as casting jigs....

Temps are dropping but it should make the bite a little better once this water level in the lake settles a little. never have much success when the water level is moving drasticly.
