Fished from noon to 5. It wasn’t lights out and the bite was pretty light. Normally can go back to same spot where I caught one about 15 min later and pick another one up but that wasn’t happening....

Nicely done. I love the "conditions were perfect" every time too. Make you some fish cakes when them goo and serve them as crab cakes, no one will know the difference!

Nice. Last trip I made there wasn’t so good. That rig they moved in had a lot of tug traffic and had the canals so churned up

Can't help with Vernon but I know the Calcasieu River had some decent sac a lait fishing pre-Laura. I don't know if Laura hurt the population like Rita did. Another option would be the Sabine river....
