No cooking, I cut them about 3/8 wide then quarter the slice. Then put it on the hook. Usually takes about 15 seconds before it gets hit

Went fishing for a hour to catch a few bluegills for lunch. Ended up with a small mess and two keeper crappie.

Had a decent day at Guist. Kept 15, 4 were over 11 1/2”. Fishing 15-20’ water while spider rigging from 4-15’. I believe we caught one at almost every depth. Used minnows tipped with nibbles....

Thanks for the report Pappy. We are headed down there to Holmes Bend for the first time this weekend. We usually stay at GR marina or Emerald Isle. Kind of like going to a new lake and adventures....
