We went to the Rock a little after noon today and didn't catch a single crappie.

Was it an early morning bite?

I took some but never tied them on. Maybe when I get back in a couple of weeks.

Color didn't much matter today, they only hit minnows! They were spotty, one here, one there. 16-18 FOW. Brought home 7 for dinner.

I've tried a lot of combinations of jig heads and colors with randomly good results.

Can anybody share a couple of the better colors for trolling High Rock crappie?

Doggone trolling motor remote crapped out on me just as we were going into Second. Did a little casting and a little boat riding and called it a day.

My Engel has performed very well for about 5 yrs now. Batteries last a long time. I use an insulated 5 gal bucket.

WalMart had it the last few times that I've been there. Over with the small selection of boat stuff.

Mann Marine suggested to use the K100 stuff. I've used SeaFoam for years with good results though.

I glued a piece of StarBoard to my transom with 3M 5200 marine adhesive and attach the transducers to that.

The MinnKota 30# worked for my 15' aluminum canoe. Once a put a motor on it, the state wanted me to register it.
