Do you disconnect the TM from the batteries when charging? Your charger may be producing a voltage spike that’s frying your head unit.

it should. The baits they were using dive 8-12 feet, just like the 300 does.

well from where I was up in the north fork, it’s 7 miles to the dam, so yeah, an easy 15 miles of motoring and using the TM from spot to spot. Gonna need fuel for sure!
