The wife and I are heading down to Reelfoot in two weeks. Any advice on gear or rigs? We haven’t been in a few years. The weather has not cooperated with us the last few times.

I have swung and missed twice there this year. I prefer floating minnows under bobbers. I assume they just are to deep still.

I have fished it hard over the last week or so with little luck.

Went out yesterday (Thursday). All ramps were open but flooded. Water temp was in the low 50s. Caught 2 small crappie floating minnows. The wind made it difficult.

Has anyone been on Cave Run this week? Are all ramps open? Any Luck?

how deep were the fish?

Jeffersonville resident myself, I really need to learn how to spider rig. I mostly fish brush piles or standing trees in the Longbow area.

Boyette's is great and Blue Banks restaurant is pretty good too.

I ended up out in the rain after lunch. Caught 2 nice slabs and 10 catfish. The storms set in and ran us off. We caught them in 7 feet of water on minnows under a float.

I haven't had much luck the last 2 days. I have tried fishing shallow trees and shoreline mostly. Jigs and minnows mostly. Any ideas?
