I own 14ft and 16ft southern crappie rods. They are great rods and Ed is a good guy.

The bnm bgjp might be alright then. It's hard decision. There both good.

I think im gonna hold on to my 12 footers for spares. I'm either gonna get the southerns or the bnm just can't decide. I think the bnm has a lighter tip than the southerns.

Hey guys, I have 4 14 footers and 4 12 footers. Im gonna replace my 12 foot ones with 16 footers. What brand do yall recommend in 16ft? My 14footers are southern crappie and 12 footers are bnm bgjp....

Ok thanks. I've mainly been using 3/8 and 1/2 and haven't been fishing deeper than 10ft.

Let's say I'm fishing with a 1/2oz 7ft deep and the wind picks up in the afternoon do I need to bump up to a 3/4oz even though I'm fishing no deeper than 7ft?

I'm still deciding which one to get. I'm gonna order this week. The only thing about the 24 Volt is having to buy 2 batteries.

I might have to get a 70lb thrust then. Don't want batteries in the back tho. I run in shallow water.

I was leaning toward a 55lb thrust because it's in my price range. It might be alright. My boat is aluminum so it's doesnt weigh to much. Spider rigging is all I'm gonna use it for and casting on...
