So life has been so hectic I haven't been able to do hardly any fishing in over a year, I was wondering if anyone has fished the slack water below truman dam?

Ouch that wasn't the best trip out

At one point we had trolling motor on high and was going backwards! Still caught fish regardless but today I put a 24 volt motor on:ThumbsUp:ThumbsUp:ThumbsUp:ThumbsUp

We found them in 20 to 25 foot of water and 10 to 15 down, used jigs tipped with minnows, they liked the garlic scented jigs

Me and the inlaws went out for the first time of the year. Dodged storms for a few hours and decided to call it a day came home with 15 toads, ready to head back out

Dipping is when u have a long sensitive rod, u leave about 10-15 foot of line out and u pick it up and drop from tree to tree

I'm wanting to build a dipping rod out of a 2 piece fly blank. Ny question is has anyone already done this? How did it work? And what weight blank should I use? I want 10-12 foot

So down from truman dam just north of hwy7 bridge is a small ramp, is it public or private? I like fishing up there but there way too many people at Bledsoe especially now that the dam is open again....

That's the exact kit I started with, still use most of what it came with for the rods I build now. And the rod is pretty darn nice too

U might also look at the get bit speckled perch blank, I think they have them in 10 or 12 foot. I wouldn't say they are light weight per say but they are affordable and pretty sensitive with good...

I would love to have a weave fixture and software but with my adhd I dont know that I would ever finish

Nope shes done for, I knew I had low compression on one cylinder the end of last season but I hoped I could limp it through this season. Only made it 2 trips
