Are you just finding scattered fish suspended or are they on BPs? Thinking about taking the kayak out to Beaverdam tonight. Just tired of the wakeboarders and jet skis.

Wade from your photo it looks like you have a surge brake actuator on your trailer. I'm not sure you can add a coupler if you have steel brake lines.

It's a $1.50 part online but will probably cost you a $100 to put on. Be sure to check the other collars and washers for wear while it is apart. I'd replace them all to be sure.

I had to replace the stator several times on my 93 Evinrude 150 and it usually took about an hour. It is not a difficult job after you diagnose that it is the problem. Takes a few special tools too....
