These were actually caught down on the Atchafalaya basin fishing little chartreuse/black jigs. They are smashing them down there right now too.

Motor oil has been a great color for years in both crappie and bass baits. It is getting harder to find.

Those are pretty good little dudes. The very smallest ones I would use for crappie and the rest definitely are good for bass.

Super bright LEDs can get really expensive. I looked for some for my truck and was really surprised.

You can always deploy the power pole just a little and get it out of your way. The talon folds into the boat I think.

Not a huge fan of Nanofil for this application really. Any abrasion and it can fail.

If its impressive when it comes out of the water it will probably get weighed.

What if you were to use a bow release when shooting docks instead of holding the jig itself? I dont have alot of experience with it but got to thinking about it. What do you guys think?

Totally agree with these guys. Keep the chunks out of it and dont burn the oil and you will love it. Nothing beats the speed of these things.

2 pound nanofil is bold even for crappie.

I cant imagine that they went far from those piles. First break and any other irregularities close to them is where i would start.

I use the plano boxes too but I look for boxes with smaller compartments if i need to travel light to go with a buddy or something.

Bait may have just moved on you.

Love 6 pound mono for most things.
